The Basics to Buying Great CBD Products For Your Pet

Once you understand what CBD is, then comes knowing the basics to spotting a great quality CBD product. Not to worry, we got you covered!

Lab Testing

The first thing you want to look at is if the company has third party lab testing on their website. Lab testing is important because you never want to compromise what will be going into your pet's body. Lab tests will tell you the amount of CBD per product, the amount of different cannabinoids, terpenes and residual solvents.

Full Spectrum

For those that don't know the difference between full spectrum and isolate, here you go:

Isolate: meaning the product only contains the cannabinoid CBD.

Full spectrum: meaning the product contains a wide range of cannabinoids including CBD, CBG, CBN etc.

Isolate products are still great products that deliver all the benefits of CBD but full spectrum products go above and beyond because when different cannabinoids are present, the effects are stronger and more effective! Less than 0.3% of THC is perfectly safe for pets and because THC is another cannabinoid it will also aid in boosting the maximum health benefits of the oil.

Beware of CBD manufactured in China or Abroad

We have all heard of the dangers of products from over-seas. The bottom line is: you just don't know what you are getting. It is better to avoid CBD products from overseas and stick to products made in the USA.

Contact information

Make sure the CBD company you are buying from has a phone number that is easily accessible on their website. Some companies only include an email as a form of contact and that should never be the case! Person to person customer service is the way to go!

All natural

Make sure the CBD company you buy from makes their products with all natural and safe ingredients. This means ingredients you can actually pronounce and feel comfortable giving to your pets or "fur babies" as we like to call them.

Price

Good quality CBD is not cheap, if you find a CBD company with significantly lower prices than competitors, the quality of their oil is probably not what they claim it is.

Extraction method

CO2 extraction is by far the safest and most efficient way to extract CBD. This extraction method cold-presses the plant to extract it's oil rather than using harmful chemicals or alcohol to do so.
